There's a discussion going on here about the merits of removing rock features to make a rapid safer, and it's got people from both sides arguing points, I'd be interested in hearing Irish boaters' views.
It's not on about massively redesigning a stretch of river, but more of removing (with dynamite, of all things!) a rock arch forming a siphon. What say ye?
