Piedmont is a region in the North West of Italy. Some of the rivers in the video will be familiar to those that stay in Valsesia, which is a group of valleys in north-east of Piedmont.

A great film from Sean Kinsella who lives in Japan. It's called Kayak / Japan. I love the tunes he has timed to perfection as well. This is kayak sessions video of the month for good reason. Well done! ;)

Yikes, Seanie, those DeepGorge guys are a whitewater nightmare...

Here's a helmet cam clip of the Toro Amarillo in Costa Rica in flood water. Looking at this feels like being in a video game:

This my favorite bit of footage. It's been around since Sept 2009 and features some exellent cable cam footage of the Homestake Teva Mountain games race. Watch it in HD and full screen if you can. Think Clare Glens!! :D

All aboard the paddle train! Great little film from Norway. From the kayak session list again.

http://vimeo.com/6750843[/video]

This is my ideal scenario for a paddling trip because there is hardly a scent of a carbon footprint from just using the train. When I last tried travelling with kayaks on trains Iarnród Eireann sent my boat to Dublin because the driver was too ignorant to do a double pull (stop the train a second time so that the guards van at the end can be accessed from the platform). I was only going from Galway to Ballinasloe. They then tried to charge me for my boats completely unnecessary round trip east and back west. Has anyone tried bringing a boat on the Luas yet? Aahhh bring back the Clifden sessions with Nee's buses kayak friendly service.
