Re: getting started
i'm in cork, dont really want to join a club until i give it a go, is there some place that does daytrips would like to go on a river oviously nothing too big but something that would give a little excitement and insight to what it would be like if you trained up to faster rivers thanks
Re: getting started
Ah thats fair enough, that said most clubs run some sort of beginner courses that would give you a taste of the sport.

Re: getting started
As far as I know (could be wrong!) Phoenix have just finished up their last beginners course for this season, and they don't run courses through winter.
MDAC will run trips and courses all through winter.
The only other active clubs I know of are the college clubs - UCC and CIT, but both you have to be a student.
Hope that's of some help!
