Water levels in Kerry

Post by Sarahjcar » Thu Oct 27, 2011 8:58 pm

Anyone have info on the water levels in Kerry at the moment? Trying to decide whether to head down this coming weekend (29th and 30th) from Wicklow or not.
Cheers, Sarah

well they were pumping on tuesday!! I live beside the dargle, it was tanking three days ago. Not sure now, ill jog past it in the morning though so can check it out then and let you know. Im just wondering if the rivers in kerry are paddlable, if its worth driving down?

Not much rain here over the last few days. I'll have a look at the Flesk and the Roughty in the morning. Let you know then.

Flesk is low, 0.4m on the gauge. Same story with the Roughty, and it looks like it's going to be a dry day.

Yep! Sorry for the delay!
Dargle too low to paddle.
Annamoe was low but paddlable today, got out for a quick spin. Hoping for some rain to bring up something fun tomorrow but not looking likely!Ah well , theres always Rathdrum to Meetings.....

Pissing it down here in Ballyvourney (just over the County Bounds from the Flesk) all last night and today. Same back in Kenmare last night.
Same story in Killarney today. http://lakehotelkillarney.com//killarney-webcam

Check the N22 Ballyvourney ( 5 miles from the The Gates) N22 Killarney (10 miles from The Gates) http://www.nratraffic.ie/weather/default.asp

Heading down to Kerry this weekend, what's the level going to be like on the flesk or roughty with all the rain? What are the low water options if they're not working?
