As some of you are aware the Training unit http://www.tdu.ie is responsible for all of the skills and instructor syllabi.
Any of you who are trainee instructor or a qualified instructor must be registered with the TDU to have your instructorship kept valid. The ICU has been looking after this on our behalf for a long time. However since there has been trouble in the ICU the current board are refusing to give us access to our members details.

As a result it has been hard to disseminate information to you all. We would like to set that straight and create our own list of currently qualified and trainee instructors.

So if you are a trainee or qualified ICU instructor will you please fill in the linked form so we can keep track of you and keep you updated on developments.

Was it too much to hope for that all this bickering and lack of co-operation be put behind us so that we as a group of paddlers could move on and progress the sport in Ireland?

I'm certain the my record showed that I was a level 5 paddler, level 5 instructor and level 5 coach in all the disciplines

You know that the link is not secure...it says https on your post but does not come up the same way when you click the link..don't know about you but i generally ignore links that don't have https in their address...especially when it comes to personal info!!! \rob

If your a bit of a techie you might figure out why this is doing it for me. Wufoo is a great website that is owned by survey monkey. I doubt that they would have an unsecure product. If you are an instructor and you do not want to fill it out please send us your details to [email protected]

WuFoo only provide SSL for those who pay for accounts not for free accounts, for what it's worth Google docs forms use https.

I was happy to use WuFoo. Its a shame the TDU have to take these steps and well done to the Committee taking the time to do the work they do all unpayed.
