Looking to meet other Kayakers

Just moved back from the UK with my family where I picked up the kayaking bug.
Based in waterford now, but would like to meet up with other kayakers. I did both WW and Sea kayaking, and would like to resume both if possible (and toddler willing).
Is this the right place to look for clubs, groups etc ? Seems a bit quiet. Has all the conversation gone to FB/whatsapp or other forums?
