Hi All,
I may have the opportunity to relocate from sunny Nottingham, to Waterford in the next few months. Obviously the quality of the local whitewater will play a part in my final decision. bearing that in mind, what are the options around the Waterford area for weekend gr4 paddling? what about after work evening park and play?

Cheers

Ollie

Ollie,

For all things whitewater kayaking in waterford you want to talk to Mick Flynn or Tony Walsh you can get in touch with them through http://www.witkc.com. But easily available white water is very very limited and playpots near non existant. Limerick or Dublin would be better.

Their is some fine rivers in waterford as with all ireland winter is the best time to catch them just look up any of the wterford rivers on this site.We are also very well located for quick trips to cork kerry or wicklow.
We have lots of surf too in the summer time too with a coast line full of surf beaches.
