Hey guys, anyone got any suggestions for a good hand held hd vid camera? I don't want a go pro because theres no zoom on it. Do canon do good cameras? Any recommendations?

Hi Aisling,
I got a Sanyo WH1 waterproof HD video camera last Christmas and I think its great. You can see the specs here.

The zoom is really good on it (see gower video) and the video quality is great. There are a few bad things about it though. The still picture quality is terrible and the video quality deteriorates in poor lighting.

You can see some videos that I took with it here.

Hey Aisling,
I have a Panasonic sdr-sw20.

Im extremely happy with it. The quality is excellent. Zoom is excellent. Even underwater it picks up sounds. I was paddling at dun loughin beach and put it under water as dolphins swam around and it picked up their sounds.
