STRAINER ON THE CLARE GLENS

Post by neiltilley » Sun Apr 04, 2010 9:57 am

Hi everyone,

Ran the Clare Glens yesterday and came across a very nasty strainer in Sidewinder.

Its a huge bough of a tree wedged into the v where the ledge of the drop and opposite wall meet.

It extends the whole way down along the feature. Most of it is hidden just underwater except for the twigs and branchs visible just above the surface and the end of the bough wedged into the v. The feature in our opinion was unrunnable.

Tried to get it out but its properly wedged in.

Neil, Tullamore Canoe Club.
