Dagger Mamba & Nomad, whats the difference?

Post by Seanie » Thu Mar 04, 2010 4:06 am

I've never paddled either of these two boats, but the people who do, love them.

Now my only decision is what boat do I try out, and why?

Here's the specs for the two boats and they fail to give any great contrast to the two boats.

And here are the two pages on the dagger site:

So what the difference?

Mamba wrote:There's a lot of whitewater out there and you want a boat that can handle all of it. This all-around performance series lets paddlers of any experience level tackle technical water.
Nomad wrote:The world's ultimate creeker has been the kayak of choice for dominating outrageous rivers and descents.
That would be my guess, that one is an all round river runner and the other a dedicated creeker. Like the Pyranha Burn v Karnalii

The Nomad 8.5 has 6 gallons of volume on the Mamba 8.5 (78 v 72).

Hi Seanie, I have Nomad and you can take it for a spin. Main difference is volume in bow and stern, more in both in the Nomad. Have a Look here http://playak.com/news.php?idd=496168089665 :)
