There's a tree right across the Beamish maybe five minutes above the short-takeout bridge. It's completely blocking the river for any level you would want to be on the Beamish, so you have to walk around, which is easily done on river left. Be careful in big water as you wouldn't have much reaction time to see it. It's still rooted in the river left side bank, so it's not going anywhere soon.
