This on its own is a huge addition to the gauges, but there is even more good news!! There should be at least 1 if not 2 more new gauges going live in the Dublin region over the next few weeks, stay tuned.

Also Daithi Mike and Moe have been doing some great work to the design of the Gauge units. Incorporating some great technical advances (using GSM units) which aid with the stability and robustness of the design. But also adding new features like trigger levels, which up date the graphs on IWW when a river goes past a certain level. These changes have yet to be implemented, but its coming :-D

Once again a big thank you to all those involved, the amount of time and effort ye have put in is greatly appreciated.

We'll figure out the runnable and high levels over the next few weeks, please leave your feedback/observations here.

All the best,
Seanie

Ah, they make a lovely couple don't they? :D

But seriously,
Great stuff guys. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait and invaluable to getting those evening summer runs in after work - well let's be optimistic...

Now if only someone could sort out parking at the takeout

Lads,

Thats savage stuff from ye, it a massive resource to have and when the new features come on line it will be unreal for the after work boating.

Sadly my own skills don't extend to gauge making so I can't thank ye enough.

Adrian

A BIG thanks has to go to Daithi Power, who helped us every step of the way in getting this gauge going.

Hi Tiernan,
We had to get approval from the park rangers, as it's in a national park.
No major issues with it though, had to bring the gauge to them so they could have a look at it before they agreed to let us mount it.

Just wondering Seanie if youve considered putting a paypal donations button on the guages page or even ads to help fund further guages.
Its a fantastic resource and im sure a lot of paddlers would be willing to help contribute regardless of what rivers theyre put on.

Is there any chance you can diffrentiate certain time markings on the graph to help make them a bit easier to read. ie a raised marking every 12hrs.

Itll be great over time to see different rivers characteristics on how quickly they rise and how quick they fall when compared to rainfall measurments.

The gauge graphs page should be upgraded by the end of this week, and the graphs should be a lo clearer. Also there will be a choice to vary the time span of the graph day, week month etc.
