Lucan Weir is good for all levels, the water is relativly flat untill the weir which can be ran at the fish boxes for the more adventurous or over the weir. check out liffeyreleases.com up to 3Mws should be a fine level there for total beginners, and anyone that can stay upright will be fine at any level.

drive up stream from lucan village untill you see the road vear to the right 90degrees, there is a corner with an entrance to a house, you can park there (dont block the enterance) and get in/out there.

when u run the weir you can climb back up to flat water on the river left immediatly after the weir, there is a fairly large eddy behind an island and a smaller one beside the bank where you can hop out. if you flow down past the island it will be really hard to get back up so at the earliest time possible get an eddie river left and hike to the road.

otherwise you can just paddle back up to your car when you've finnished.

water here is liffey water, standard leptospirosis avoidence techniques in effect.
