kayaking in Ireland

Hello everyone!
Probably this winter I will have an opportunity to visit Your country. I wantet to know when is the best season for kayaking and is it possible to guess the right time with water or it depends on rains?
I also wanted to know id there is any possibility to get a job in Ireland as safety kayaker or You don't have rafting or kayak schools?
I would like to be in Ireland quite a long time, especially during the winter.
