Sending boats from IRE to UK

Hi guys, does anyone have experience sending boats from Ireland across to the UK? I need to get a creek boat sent over asap and am looking for a courier (or anyone else!) who will take it for a reasonable fee. So far the recognised courier companies I have tried (DPD, UPS etc) either don't take large items or charge a silly amount. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Hi Eoin,
I looked into this recently in the other direction. Mad expensive too. Eventually boat packaged with load going to I-canoe.
The 2 options i came up with had that not worked out were
1- Foot passenger on ferry. About 20 each way and boat no prob.Did that once years ago. (but you gotta persuade your mum or someone to take boat to ferry this side)
2- Fly. Ryanair charge €50 on top of ticket price and again you gotta get boat to airport. As boat only going one way better to book 2 single tickets.
Did also hear that triathletes have a courier who takes bikes to UK for reasonable fee (when theres an event on) so if theres a tri near you it might work...

Paisleyfreight.com specialise in shipping in both directions a buddy had a surf kayak shipped from Cornwall last year for £40ish.
No damage and arrived in 4 days I think
