Hi JP, great to see skills awards coming for surf kayak. Just wondering does that mean there will a surf kayak instructor to follow? or who will be awarding it?

Good question Richard.

For the initial roll out it is envisioned to create a panel of suitably qualified people. Eventually it would be great to have a stand alone surf instructor scheme but we are talking years down the line! Initially we will be piloting the Level 3 Paddlesurf Skills and move onto the Level 4 and 5 in time.

Criteria for panel membership and dates for workshops for the same will be announced shortly.
