When doing my SRT in Canada we were told that firefighters were called to a drowning, when a guy fell through some ice trying to rescue a dog. Soon one of the fire fighters fell through the ice trying to rescue the guy, then another fire fire fighter fell in trying to rescue him. I'd always thought this was this story created to illustrate a point, but after watching this video I'm not too sure anymore:

I'm working with a guy from Siberia right now. This morning he told me what they do in his city every Easter Morning. They all go down to the local river, and strip off to their underwear, and walk/slide out on to the ice, and jump up and down on it until it breaks and they all fall in, en masse.


"Watch out for these guys, these guys are crazy."
