What should a college club aspire to?

I'll tell you what, not alot has changed in 10 years. My personal list of stuff (not in any important order):

Introduction to paddling (Keep it fun).
Introduction to disciplines (Usually Whitewater, polo, freestyle, 'long' distance, Sometimes polo and surf).
The learning of basic water safety skills.
Make friends.
Be active in the local paddling scene (Help with river cleanups, engage with land owners, etc.)
Do some things off the water, 'socials' (A club is not all about the paddling..)
Get to competitions (even if you don't do well).


I guess this applies to all clubs, at some point it becomes the members responsibility to push on further. But colleges are blessed and cursed by the high turnover rate, but I think this has been well discussed here by others.
