scotts video on their expedition into the tsangpo gorge is also pretty good, and peter heller went with them and wrote a good if a little exagerted book on the whole thing call"hell or high water" which I would reccomend. i havent come across any other good books for kayakers that arent magazines or instructional books so i f you can lay your hands on a copy its a good read.

Ok, the competition deadline is today. I must go and have a look back at the submissions. I'll notify the winners by posting here and emailing them. I have a feeling its not going to be that easy to pick winners.

A big thank you to everyone that submitted/edited a guide or added a photo/map. We now have 81 river guides. Considering that the site only started a year and a half ago, this is a great result. But, it has been said that there at least another 40 or so that could be added! I look forward to developing the site, so that more people can see the guides and make use of the information in as many was as possible (mobile, SMS, RSS, etc.).
