French Whitewater Resources

During a recent paddling trip to France I learned of a few websites which were very useful. Of those listed below Eauxvives was used most often as the river level info is really helpful for planning your next run. Some excellent whitewater was found this way! Most of these sites are in French though it is easy to figure out the river level, and get on/off. There are excellent descriptions for many runs if you can translate them. Enjoy! ;)

Just a quick addition.
The levels page on eauxvives doesnt cover the department of hautes alpes. (Most of the runs round Briancon)
It does cover the Alps north of Grenoble, the region round Gap, and from the Ubaye southward. (Although the Ubaye gauge is unreliable)
It also covers the whole pyrenees (french & spanish), massif central and southern switzerland

If youre ever in the Nice area we ran the Esteron. A fantastic, hard run in 2 amazing gorges. Unfortunately rain fed but if its up its well worth the drive!

Here's a link to every spot you can paddle in France (Freestyle, Slalom, Creeking, Clubs)

Living in France thought I'd post this link. Some might know about it already...
