Hi
Travelling to Briancon in June, can anyone advise on personal Insurance cover,or is Irish private health insurance and an European Health Insurance Card enough??

It depends on what grade rivers you are doing, some medical insurance insurance companies only cover up to grade 3.

Most of the lads I know going to the alps this year have gotten this policy,

The EHIC card will pay for all your hospital bills, but it not for the helicopter that you need to get you off the mountain. That's what the travel insurance will cover.

the bmc is the best policy, a bit expensice though
