Hi Lads

On the 10th of March I have booked Jim Kennedy to run a forward stroke clinic on the Lee Fields. The course will involve.

Break down of the forward stroke
Video analysis
Feed back
Etc

As we all know the forward stroke is common to all kayaking disaplines and correct technique is very important. Jim Kennedy is one of Irelands most experienced and accomplished kayakers both in sea kayaking and marathan/sprint kayaking. Below are a few of his accomplishments and qualifications.

Level 5 Irish Canoe Union sea kayak instructor/coach.
Level 4 river kayak coach/instructor. Level 5 British Canoe Union sea kayaking coach.

Has raced on the Irish national kayaking team at two sprint and two marathon world championships.
Has been Irish and British national sprint and marathon kayak champion both 500 and 10,000m.
Has won the international Devizes to Westminister 126-mile non-stop kayak marathon.
Specialises in coaching efficient forward paddling techniques for adventure racers and also for sprint/marathon racers.
is a qualified personal trainer and designs fitness programmes for individuals, teams and clubs.
is a graduate of the National Coaching and Training Center, University of Limerick.

There are 12 places on this course and it will run for the full day. I am hoping to get as many instructors, guides, river leaders, athletes as possibe together for this course to try and get as much out of it as possible.

The price of the course is 65 Euros (normally 95 Euros). Send me a mail if you are interested.

Thanks

Colin Wong
