Dry suits thread on Irish Freestyle

I would have replied to this on Irish Freestyle...but there web site is not letting me log in...again
Anyway, I wanted to say that I ripped my dry suit on Jacskons in February and the response from Tiernan was exactly what happened to me. My bouyancy did not change in the slightest. I did NOT get any heavier in the water but I did get one hell of a shock when the freezing water flooded in to my suit

Getting out of the water was a problem with the legs flooded too.
Anyway, there was no safety issue and I went straight out and bought another suit...I've never looked back since!

i have that problem logging in too, if u use the small log in box on the right hand side, sometimes u have to do it twice...

Here's a possibility. Maybe he had extra bouyancy initially because excess air was trapped within the suit. When the rip occurred, this extra bouyancy was lost.
