Re: ICU/ Canoeing Ireland – Board Statement Dec 2012
While this was expected, I would like to highlight some things:
1). The statement isn't signed by anyone.
2). We have no idea who's still on the board and what positions they hold.
3).
The "ICU Governance Policy" has been removed from the ICU website and the Memorandum and Articles is not the latest version (it's a version from several years ago). If you're going to reference a document in a statement, it might be helpful if we could access that document.

I appreciate that the current situation is an emergency, and interm measures are needed to keep things running. But there is no way the current board is "operating within the Memos and Articles". It's simply impossible, and to state that you are is disingenuous.ICU Board Statement wrote:In the interim the Board, will take responsibility for the continued operation

Re: ICU/ Canoeing Ireland – Board Statement Dec 2012
Well, I got a lot of email and PM's. Most people are afraid of being sued if they speak their minds. It's a sad state of affairs.
Brendan O'Brien is the new Irish Canoe Union Secretary and Eamon Fleming is an Irish Canoe Union Director. See the attached document from the CRO.ICU Board Statement wrote:Two new Directors of the company were appointed. The former President removed his name as a director from the company register.
