They're there there Tony, but they are called:
Memorandum & Articles of Association
ICU Memo & Articles_June 2009.pdf
(105.92KiB)Downloaded 763 times
And as far as I'm aware, this isn't the latest version, it needs to be updated since the last AGM. This has always been the way, and the previous years AGM minutes only being available a few weeks before the next AGM, almost a year later. They should be updated and uploaded that week, to act as a record for people who could not make the meeting.

It was the frustration of not being able to get simple AGM minutes that put the ICU on my radar some years ago, so I got them & the accounts from the The Irish Sport Council and published them on IWW. Since then the ICU has started putting documenets online. I suppose we can be thankful that at least the past minutes are archived on the ICU website now.

Here's a short summary of what happened at the last ICU AGM (May 20101).

The Irish canoe union has changed it's name to Canoeing Ireland. There where two reasons for this the first was that there was a request from the department of enterprise to change the name to bring it in line with legislation, they could have kept the name Irish canoe union but took the chance to change the name to canoeing Ireland which is more in line with other sports bodies in the country. It may also be seen as a chance to rebrand to help in promoting the sport.

Secondly the Individual fee was rejected at 25 euro but a proposal from the floor to raise the fee to 30 euro with the proviso that the fee structure would be reassessed at the next AGM.

To make this clear if you are a member of a club you pay 20 euro to join Canoeing Ireland. If you are not part of a club you pay 30 euro. If you are an instructor and are part of a club you pay only 20 euro you do not have to pay extra to be part of TDU this was restated at the AGM. So the idea is to promote club membership as the board sees clubs as the area where development of the sport is the best.
.....

To add to that, the CEO and Chair person, agreed to base future fee increases and decreases on facts rather than arbitrarily adding a ten here and a tenner there. And that the effect of previous fee changes would be studied, much like a product costing exercise.
