Who are we?
Fabian Bonanno from Argentina has been teaching kayaking for 6 years and has kayaked all around the world. He is also a qualified International Rafting Federation Class 4-5 Instructor.
Derek Murphy from Ireland has been teaching kayaking for 2 years and is a registered Irish Canoe Union Level 3 Instructor. He also has a Higher National Diploma in Outdoor Adventure Management
Where are we?
This course is based in Slovenia in the Soca valley bordering Italy.
The Emerald colour of the Soca surrounded by the Julian Alps is the perfect learning environment.
We have courses that range from 5-10 days, how you like.
The course covers for kayaking tuition. There will be 2 water sessions every day. In the morning we will teach you specific skills to improve your technique. In the afternoon we will go down the river and apply your new skills.
Equipment is not included in the price of the course
What you will learn:
On our kayak courses you will learn the modern dynamic style of whitewater kayaking. We also cover how to protect yourself on the river. Learn how to read whitewater and become competent in your own paddling.
We will adapt the course to your learning.
What you need to bring:
• A good helmet
• Bouyancy Aid
• Dry Top
• A Neoprene Long John
• Good River Shoes
• Spray Deck
• A Paddle
• And also bring a sense of Humour.
If you need equipment, we can arrange the hiring of it for you
We have a variety of kayaks available, closer to the date of your course we can send you the list of kayaks.
However if you would like to bring your own kayak, you are welcome to do so
If you have a group of 5 people minimum, we can come to your home river.
