Hi All,
I recently bought an advanced elements inflatable kayak and was wondering where in Cork would be a good place to start off using it. I have no experience with kayaking.
Cheers,
Padraig

Re: Inflatable Kayak(ing)
The first thing I would recommend is that you contact a local kayak club or kayak instruction business and take a basic kayak/canoeing course. While it would not be taught in inflatables like you have purchased, you'll learn loads and you'll also establish a network of like minded water users. Most importantly you learn how to be safe on the water.

Also it might be worth contacting the ICU office about private operators in your area, I'd say they might have information on a few.

Hi Padraig,
if you're looking for clubs, UCC and CIT both have very active clubs, tho not much happening during summer. Phoenix club on the Lee Fields run beginner courses over summer (phoenixkayakclub.com) as do Munster Dive and Canoe (mdac.ie)
Would second Seanie's thoughts about getting a few basic lessons before heading out.
