Dealing With Risk
An article from the Peak UK USA team blog Dealing with Risk We all deal with risk in kayaking differently- sometimes we portage, sometimes we run it, and soemtimes we make the wrong decision....Either way, the internal battle between running and not running something can be difficult. How do we make...

Re: Discussion re: ICU recommendations
With all due respect, Adrian, Who is bringing the popcorn? The type of discussion going on here is to encourage members to involve themselves in the ICU via the AGM, not to sit passively and let a very small proportion have input. Annie annie annie.... please forgive me if I tried to inject a littl...

Re: Discussion re: ICU recommendations
Well folks, the deadline has come and gone. Have you pushed your committee to ask questions, and hand in motions? Have any of ye put forward motions other than what Seanie suggested? . I fear that despite all of Seanie's hard work and every speaking up about wht they think should be do... Allot of ...

Re: Rivers around borris in orssory
Keiren, The Inny would be a fair enough spin from where you are going to be, The Castleconnel in limerick is not much more than an hour away and would be the kind of thing that might do you. Kilkenny ie the Nore is about 45 mins from Borris in Ossary there are a couple of dirrerent sections that ye ...

Howdy folks, As of late there has been massive interest in the up comming ICU AGM for all sorts of reasons. There has been some questions on who can and can't vote at an AGM etc and how the voting block work. I posted what I believed to be how it works but I did not have the full and official "FACTs...

Re: Voting at ICU AGM
Is it stating the obvious to suggest that you can always submit a motion to change it? Tony is right, Sadly to submit an motion as an indivual member is not overly straight forward. Motions for consideration at the AGM can only be submitted by clubs registered with the Union within the 12 months pr...

Re: Voting at ICU AGM
I know that for a club to propose a motion for discussion it has to be given in writing & signed by the clubs Chairperson and Secretary. I would guess that using this as precidence that those two people must be the club delegates and they would represent the views of the club. That should not stop a...
