Thanks for clearing that up JP. I hadn't even realised there was a coaching officer positionJ P wrote: Sea Officer is vacant as is Coaching Officer. We had an Access & Environment Officer for a while too and a Youth Officer position is likely soon too.

Re: Resignation of President and Executive of Canoeing Irela
I absolutely agree Kevin. It cannot be left to those remaining to appoint an executive without an ADM.
GKC will me making a request for ADM immediately. I hope other affiliated clubs will make this request.

Re: Rush to select a new Canoe Union CEO/GM
My understanding is that the board voted unanimously on the make-up of the interview panel prior to the AGM. And since we're listening to grape vines these days, i heard that following the conclusion of the AGM, the new president followed board members out into the carpark and proceeded to have a s...

Re: Conflict of Interest with Related Party Transaction
I think that something has been over looked in this thread so far, and something that bodes well for the future of the current CI president. Pat has actually taken the time to post a reply up here. I don't know the answer to this question, but how many times in the past has this occurred? Transparen...

Re: Conflict of Interest with Related Party Transaction
Hey Leftism, thanks for your input and clarification on your understanding of what Tadhg was getting at.
I wish people could just say what the hell they were getting at in the first place.

Re: Conflict of Interest with Related Party Transaction
any new directors of the ICU Not to be overly pedantic but do you mean "Members of the Executive"? Do you feel that there are members of the Executive that may have a conflict of interest? or is this just par for the course? As a fellow CI member I'm just interested in why you are asking? Paul.

Re: Boluisce tommorow ?
Given how much the Tuam Gauge has dropped since Friday. I wouldn't think the Boluisce is getting enough rain to sustain the flow that was on there Friday/Saturday.

Re: ICU AGM 2011 - 50th ADM Motions & Nominations
Firstly to Gkc: but the position would be elected by the clubs themselves That's the bit I would like clarified. How at a Agm are clubs going to elect this position. Will it be the same as electing an executive member except voting blocks from outside clubs are removed from the vote? Are the curren...

Re: ICU AGM 2011 - 50th ADM Motions & Nominations
As a GKC committee member I can help clear up the motions we have put forward: Gkc: That there be one clubs representative added to the board. Would it rotate between the very numerous different clubs (taking decades and giving tiny clubs undue board power) Or would it be a board member that only cl...

Re: ICU AGM Motions
While I absolutely agree with enforcing maximum terms of office and how important it is to prevent stagnation. I have no experience from previous ICU AGM's - do many people normally stand for election? I know from my own experience it's hard enough to fill 6 positions in a club committee. Rarely mor...
