Re: Rush to select a new Canoe Union CEO/GM
One might even say that there is "not one bit of substance" to most of claims Seanie throws out there about the ICU. Its easy to sit behind a keyboards and make vague claims and accusations. SImon, if you have followed the ICU debate at all over the last three years you must admit that Seanie's que...

Re: Rush to select a new Canoe Union CEO/GM
a meeting was held, and the position was discussed, no date has been set for the filling of the new position - that I'm aware of. The date announced 12th November is under three weeks away. I'm not sure if there is a minimum notice period needed but I think its fair to say that the ICU does look on...

Re: ICU AGM Motions
I was doubting myself there. I think at the minimum reinstating that one year break is important.

Re: Rush to select a new Canoe Union CEO/GM
Given the obvious problems within the ICU I'd have thought the next step by the ICU board would be to prepare and present a plan on how they see the Canoe Union moving forward to the membership at a general meeting. After postponing the general meeting for so long, to now take steps to put in a new ...

I'd like to see a cap on the length of time you can serve on the executive to avoid burnout.

Re: "Urgent Update from Concerned ICU Members"
Hi Mike, Prefer not to drag the thread too far off topic but it was set up in 2009 originally and was revived earlier this year. The primary reason behind it was that it would give ordinary paddlers a voice on issues that affected them. Its obvious that one of these is ICU governance, which I think ...

Re: "Urgent Update from Concerned ICU Members"
Seems to be the same tune coming from the same people. I'd be interested in seeing what clubs are supporting an EDM or the most recent letter that was circulated.

Re: FW: Response to ICU statement
I for one would hate to contribute to the ruin of a man's reputation and livelyhood without having all the facts. Maybe I'm being naïve but surely an EGM would be the proper forum for disscussing these important matters. A proper investigation is obviously needed to establish all the facts, this se...

Re: Latex rash
Hi John, I quite like the seals on the Reed cags, I'm not sure what material they are made of but they are much gentler on the skin than the normal latex ones. There may be a latex coating on them though you'd need to check. Otherwise have you thought about going with a cag with neoprene cuffs only,...
