Re: Rumour mill.....
That's something that could be incredibly productive I think. One are I think many people lose out on is in safety training that supports their paddling skills progression.... And every club should have a clear safety training calendar in the same way as having a calendar for trips.

Re: Rumour mill.....
Fair enough on title - as regards discussion - I'm not asking for info on the board here - check out the suggestion in the OP - More than anything the suggestion is if clubs would be interested in committees communicating issues they have experienced with each other.....

Re: Rumour mill.....
I don't really think that's what I'm getting at though..... We certainly haven't had anything that required any sort of action that was out of the ordinary. Obviously no club is perfect but it's more that I'm interested to hear how clubs deal with large issues like the ones (not very well) described...

Rumour mill.....
Hello all, I'm hoping that this won't be construed as any of the following: Shite stirring, Back bitching, Imposing..... and also hoping that it may be an opportunity for some mature discussion. It's funny how many rumours you hear as a club captain - and I've always wondered why people don't get to...

Re: College Clubs and Whitewater
Fking hell! Can't believe I missed this one when it originally came out! Absolutely shocking.... And tbh I haven't read every word of the replies so forgive me if I duplicate. A few points I have seen in reading through some of the thread kind of sting a little for me. First - I'm an OFB in that I'm...

Re: 2009 Burn V's 2010 Burn, Advice needed
You'll get the Karnali cheaper than the burn - they retail at 799 (I think) and you should be able to get a discount. The 2009 burn goes for around 850 but that's retailers trying to get rid of them to clear for the 2010 model (sfaik). Given this reduction I'd be surprised if you'll get as much of a...

The future of Rossbeigh for New Years.....
Hey all, Just wondering what people thought about New Years? Last year there had been a lot of people talking about trying to get discount at the "ice boxes" and I know UL managed to get some money off but in My opinion nowehere near enough. It's come up a that people would like a change for the las...

Re: Owenroe River, Co. Kerry
I guess that's the crux of where we seem to be headed. Yes, fishermen and all users should feel they are entitled to peaceful enjoyment of their respective sports and activities. No, we shouldn't feel obliged to staying completely invisible to fishermen or any other users who feel they have more of ...

Re: Owenroe River, Co. Kerry
More than anything I only put it up as information so people can make their own decisions. IMO if a river has sufficient water on it it's fair game for paddling while still respecting other water users of course. I'm not in any way encouraging any kind of "bandit" attitude to paddling - simply that ...
