BCU Student Safety Weekend - have you ever gone?
tHey, Just wondering if anyone from a uni club has ever attended this? It's sounds very useful for people running university kayak clubs... maybe to a lesser extent for people running other clubs. If I was free to go I'd probably go myself. Is there anyone from Ireland with any feedback on it? Or wa...

Gear Lost on Boluisce
Jamie Donald parted with his boat and paddles (black Tempests) on the top section. I think the boat was yellow/orange.
Also NUIG KC lost a black Robson paddle on the S-bend during the week. Please PM me or email if you come across it. Thanks. Happy paddling!

Re: Etiquette: Pint Rescue (or swim beers) vs Swim Bootie
Swim bootie is a horrible horrible idea... it would probably do more damage to your health than the average swim in Irish rivers would! I'd be of the house rules apply perspective cos people have different views... and also I'd be inclined to leave newbies on their first Grade 2 river trips out of i...

Re: What should a college club aspire to?
College and non-college clubs often have different resources and different demographics, so their aims, even when generally the same, might be different in how they are achieved. For instance, most college clubs run their main activities from September to May say, whereas other clubs probably run mo...

Re: River Information - on the River
No we didn't take photos. I used your camera to film some of the maps though  There was a sign on a bridge over an easy tributary of the Soca that said "Dangerous Section 300m" - which was really useful, cos that section was substantially more difficult (a pushy constriction through a gorge-typ...

Re: River Alerts SMS's from twitter -problems?
I never get any, despite you walking me through the instructions. It's probably my own fault though.
