No where really to rent a c-1 or oc-1 in Ireland you could try i-canoe.com they do demo playboat c1's but other then that their is onyl a hand full of oc-1s in Irelands maybe 5max. Their are places in england that do demo oc1s and may rent to ya but id be unsure weather or not you could bring it to ...

Their is some fine rivers in waterford as with all ireland winter is the best time to catch them just look up any of the wterford rivers on this site.We are also very well located for quick trips to cork kerry or wicklow.
