Hi Guys, The planning permission is for the construction of a Biogas Plant downstream from the hole. I don't think that they will be dumping any raw sewage or animal parts into the river. I know that the OPW and EPA monitor the river quality here regularly and the data can be seen on their websites,...

Gauges update
Hey all,
Glens gauge is out of action due to sensor getting knocked out by a tree.
Tuam gauge if online but is reading off as the sensor also got moved in a flood, have to wait till river drops to tree attache it.

Dave, Thanks for the update....but just like a picture the gauges never lie...you just don;t know how to read them :roll: Just messing, yeah the time was never chnaged on the guage so the graphs were an hour off, chnaged that now!! When the Glens reaches about .8 it starts to surge around the bridge...

A rough estimate would be about € 400 from scratch, this would be dependant on location as the install itself can be costly to make sure its secure etc. I've started to use better equipment which is more reliable so put up the cost alittle from the earlier gauges.

Hi Eoin,
Just wondering if you know what the new ip cameras are for that were newly installed on some of the nra weather stations around the new motorways, for example the one at the M9 interchange on the M7, would be cool tho be able to access these.

Glens Gauge
Due to some malfunctions while replacing the battery the glens gauge is going to be out of action for a while.
I'm going to install a solar panel again but i'm going to have todo some ground work and change location. Will keep you posted when its completed.

The Tuam river gauge is back up and running!! Its located in a new location where hopefully it should be safer from vandals.
