Im thinking about going this year. Who is going? I havent been able to convince anyone here in Mayo to go so it would be good to hook up with other Irish paddlers heading over.

Hi Jon,I think it will be the dry season
Its Ireland I there is no dry season! You have as good a chance in April as any other time of year. You could be lucky and get afew days of rain to get the rivers up. As for rivers in the south I will let others advise.

the fisheries have a gauge built on the deel, anyone ever try asking them for access to it? Not that I know of, but I will try and get someone to find out. I was thinking maybe the Easkey and/or something round south Mayo. It would be handy to have one near maamtrasna good rivers over there but the...

we have been thinking about what rivers for awhile and still havent decided on any. You would have to put them some where that would give a good idea of the levels in the area to make the most of them.
Any ideas?

Ya fair play Mike.
Out of interest what does it cost to set a gauge up? I know that a few of us in the club (moycc) would be interested in setting up one or two round Mayo.
