Looking for a trio of safety boaters Sat 20th Sept, Galway
Hey folks, So there are four lads in wheelchairs going swimming the length of the prom, from Grattan Road to Blackrock on Saturday 20th of September, from about four to half six. I'm looking for ideally three other paddlers to escort them during the swim. It'll be a slow leisurely paddle, as these g...

Re: Video: Honey Pot Incident
I'm working with a guy from Siberia right now. This morning he told me what they do in his city every Easter Morning. They all go down to the local river, and strip off to their underwear, and walk/slide out on to the ice, and jump up and down on it until it breaks and they all fall in, en masse. "W...

Re: Ben Brown: Pin/Undercut Rescue in NZ
Jeeeesus! That wasa nasty looking one. It even seemed as if one of the lads on top of the boulder started running down to the downstream edge of it, hoping to see if he flushed underneath the whole thing. Good interview, but I'd have liked to have seen a boater interview him, or at least someone fam...

Janey mac, I've been looking for that one too for ages. Mike, it's the one where they anchor it to their jeep, right? And it starts sliding toward the gorge when they put weight onto the system, yeah?

Re: Access Issue goes to the High Court
A land registry search will define whether the ROW is registered or unregistered. If it's registered, it's plain to see if it's public or private. If it's unregistered, then it becomes a bit more murky, as it'd be the default position of the land owner to simply say "no, it's a private ROW." Look at...

Re: Access Issue goes to the High Court
Well fk it I was hoping I wouldn't get called on that. I was asking Dad about it, and that's a part of what he does, so the above is his knowledge imparted as if it were my own, I didn't ask him. But I will and post up.

Re: Access Issue goes to the High Court
It's very easy to ascertain whether a right of way on land is public or private, and whether the person granted that ROW has rights to pass it on to others.

Aye, that bit about Devoy still sitting on the hiring panel after he'd been deemed what, guilty of gross incompetance/negligance, wasn't it?
That bit really rankles, it's just retarded. i can see no sense in it.

Re: Boluisce land access issues - Part Deux
That's strange, I've always heard that there was a right of way established to get access to the water down that path.
The land registry office will tell you who owns that land Dave, and if there is a right of way, public or private, established.
