Re: Canoeing Ireland AGM

The three month rule has been the case for ages for the club vote.

My understanding is that it means if a club is currently registered with the ICU for all of or a period of the three months before the agm they are entitled to vote etc. Thats how its been applied in the past anyway

Re: Canoeing Ireland AGM

Its also usual for the draft accounts to be issued to the clubs in advance, but there may be a board meeting taking place over the next few days to ok them.

Re: Resignation of President and Executive of Canoeing Irela

The last board meeting minutes on the website are from October so I wouldn't put to much store in them going up.

Interesting that Karl Dunne seems to have signed the CRO registration forms for the two new directors as a Director.

Re: Resignation of President and Executive of Canoeing Irela

The next step by the remaining board will be very interesting. Are they going to hold an EDM? or will they try and circumvent that.

Its momentous that the executive have resigned and yet so far not even a holding statement from the ICU, doesn't really inspire confidence.

Re: Rush to select a new Canoe Union CEO/GM

I would have presumed that any vote that put Eamonn Devoy on the interviewing panel, did so in his position as ICU president. Given that we now have a new president it should automatically pass to Pat. Any other situation is ludicrous. It means that nobody on the ICU Board will be involved in select...

Re: ICU AGM 2011 - 50th ADM Motions & Nominations

4.1 This ADM resolves as follows: That the incoming Board be instructed, as a matter of priority, to establish a subcommittee for the purpose of reviewing the ICU governance procedures and constitution. I think this has real potential and could be one of the most important motions at the ADM. I wou...

Re: Canoe Ireland Wishlist

Adrian, Neither you nor Seanie seem to get the simple message. Whether a comment about my son is is favourable or unfavourable Bob had no right to reference him in the first instance. As far as I am concerned this was an unwanted and what is more unacceptable invasion of privacy. ... I am open to c...

Re: ICU Board invalidating received motions

Does anybody know if the executive will have to clarify this at all at the AGM?

Re: Canoe Ireland Wishlist

Sounds like Seanie's post was factually accurate so Noel - you a member of the executive asked him to take a post down as opposed to discussing it on this forum

Its disappointing to see that secrecy still seems to be the accepted norm.
