Brendan for the record the whitewater league those not wish to be associated with ci or ifs.we wish to be a seperate entity. Ci decided we were under their remit without any consultation with the league, its organisers or its competitors

lads don't forget that the area arounf constrictor is a special area of conservation where your meant to minimise the amount of people who seal launch or walk there.Theres a more fun seal launch below the bridge thats outside the sac and the area is easily avoided apart from setting up rescue

This whole thing has gotten way out of hand. Behaviour has been totally unnaceptable. I don't understand how something about paddling has gotten so far away from the point. I feel ashamed to be associated with Irish kayaking right now. Why do we need so much bureaucracy for something that so simple ...

yeah the whitewater races are very simaler to the glens race but not to boatercross and they follow strict international rules and there insurance wouldnt stretch to the likes of the glens. I think the way forward is for an organisers meeting to agree the league

hey i just saw this for the first time.interesting concept and even though technically the glens race is not a boatercross I'd be happy to help out.I've a few other ideas for races including a cascade clash(ennistymon)
