I doubt the signatures match, Gerry Laheen is head & secretary of Naas kayak club, according to ICU website and from what I know myself, and his name is missing as a signatory. AFAIK the club doesn't exist off paper.

Its prob because the entire sport hasn't had the shit commercialised out of it like all the othersun/snow sports. I also think accessibility is an issue too. Its a lot easier to buy "a" surfboard, "a" snowboard, "a" bike etc than to get all the kayaking gear, or at least its perceived to be. Anyone ...

you should check playak, they have a .csv you can download with gps coordinates for spots in Ireland,though it might just be playspots only though. you could check it out
