Brian beat me to it...but I was going to say the river at the bridge by Coghlea Church is the Shankill and at the right water level is an alternative run to some of the more usual runs with some tight little drops etc..the Cloghoge on the Military Road is the river before the Inchavore and has been ...

Yeah... it certainly was huge...we got just after 6 or so expecting the usual 20-30 min blast down but didnt get off until after 8-and yeah it was on the high side alright...Checking the guage next day (Sunday am) it indicated this alright; I just made the mistake of not checking how often it was ...

Hey...not sure what the story is with the Upper Liffey Guage but I can attest from personal experience that the river was runnning a little on the high side late afternoon today and this evening... :roll:
