Re: Fatality on the Inchavore
This is very sad news indeed. My thoughts go out to family and friends of the deceased. A very sad day for the Irish paddling community.

Re: comming for a visit
Hi Terry, I agree with Dave, it is a bit of a lottery trying to plan a paddling trip to Ireland! The paddling season tends to be best from September through to March. That being said our winters are hit and miss and rainfall levels can vary quite a lot. I suggest coming over without any specific pla...

Re: Good online kayaking Vids
I just watched the Seanafarracháin video again. I think it's the best few minutes of Irish paddling I've seen in a long time! Great work lads. Makes me miss Connemara all the more.

My beloved polo is for sale! It is a 2001, 1.0L, 3 door, in silver and I am including the roof rack (and U bars if you want them). See the link to the carzone ad below. Private sale, based in the midlands. Great little car, excellent as a first drive, and well used to carrying boats. I've had to rem...

Sending boats from IRE to UK
Hi guys, does anyone have experience sending boats from Ireland across to the UK? I need to get a creek boat sent over asap and am looking for a courier (or anyone else!) who will take it for a reasonable fee. So far the recognised courier companies I have tried (DPD, UPS etc) either don't take larg...

Some 'interesting' lines there. Don't think I've ever seen so many beatings on the Boluisce.

French Whitewater Resources
During a recent paddling trip to France I learned of a few websites which were very useful. Of those listed below Eauxvives was used most often as the river level info is really helpful for planning your next run. Some excellent whitewater was found this way! Most of these sites are in French though...

Re: Serious threat to the Clare River, Tuam Galway
That letter really shows that the local group really could do with some expert advice on the project. It is always difficult to allay these kinds of fears but I have spent the past few months studying anaerobic digestors and biogas generation and a modern facility is I think, a safe, reliable source...

Re: Serious threat to the Clare River, Tuam Galway
I want to second what Mike has said in terms of finding out the facts and considering alternatives before jumping into the NIMBY camp. There is very tight regulation in place now concerning what can be discharged into our rivers. The EC have driven the EPA to enforce tighter controls on river water ...
