Re: Irish boatercross series.
Hey Orky and everyone else, yeah i hadnt dropped this idea completely, but i have been looking at some timings and trying to put together a plan of what input it will take, website, meetings, officials or overseers, etc. Plus i have been asking a few of the organisers how it will all fit. i will have...

Re: Irish boatercross series.
Hi Yeah nothing much needs to change, except that the format should be the same at every event and all classes should be covered at each stop on the tour. The only boater cross that would have to change slightly would be the glens, and that would be that it would be based on qualification only inste...

Re: Irish boatercross series.
:D Glad we have some folks up for this, yeah Paddy either the insurance could be cheaper under an umbrella quote for the series or we could be taken under the wing of the I.C.U. ? I think as a series it would also create the same buzz i remembered when play boating was at its peak around 2001/2 and ...

Irish boatercross series.
HI myself and some paddlers had an interesting conversation in a pub the other night (always good when it starts this way) about how we actually have a good few boatercross and races over the calender year. And although we have a freestyle leauge or championship we dont have it for Boatercross. The ...

Wicklow mountains kayaking club
Hi All, Over the last two years there has been asurge of interest locally in kayaking in Laragh and surrounding areas, especially locals who have never paddled. Many have realised that they have some of the best rivers in the country on their doorstep and want to get interested. Also their are smal ...

Re: Avonmore River gauge (adjustment ?)
:D What started as a casual remark has developed into a debate, this is the way forums work. Any way my two cents worth; I have lived by the avonmore for 25 years and paddled it for the last 10ish. Every ones view on a level or grade of water is DIFFERENT. And in the end there is only grade YES and ...
