Re: Discussion re: ICU recommendations
In 2006 P/L account €32000 from members and clubs 3100 members 92 clubs So with junior members half price or free (up to 50 per club) that would near enough work out as only counting those who contribute their 10/5 euro as members. Could this explain the 1000 member drop-off 02 to 06? (I really do...

Re: Discussion re: ICU recommendations
I dunno but I would assume all recreational members have a vote, provided your name was on a list of members that your club gave the ICU when it was joining up. Then again assumptions are the mother of all Tiernans. The over 21's thing is a bit much, where'd that come out of originally? I know peopl...

Re: What should a college club aspire to?
Am I the only one reading this somewhat bemuseadly? SRT, REC 3 level 2 to 4 paddling, level 2 and 3 instructorships...all should be attainable within the college envoirns. And Bowsie totally with ya on building relations where possible. Now I see things like ... trips to Norway, the Alps, level 5 sk...

Re: Low brace turns, pointless?
Seanie wrote What would the ICU have to do to change the curriculum? Is it a big job? Straying off the topic a bit here but a small point along the same lines. I firmly believe (and I'm deffo not alone here) that a level 3 paddler should be able to roll on level 2 water. If preforming an x rescue i...

Re: Low brace turns, pointless?
Ha. I was pondering this issue lately. I've been teaching people for a while but did my level 3 skills recently....cring. (I had refused to do any ICU certification up to now for my own, quite petty reasons) Just spent last Sunday teaching this method. With a group of level 3 skills trainees it was ...
