Re: Canoeing Ireland EDM
Appears the accounts were rejected at the EDM
Qualified opinion leads to loads of questions.
Could the accounts have been changed in a way that would have been acceptable to the auditors?
What were these assets and who were the purchased from?
Have cash payments for these been vouched?
Is there ...

Re: Canoeing Ireland AGM
Cheers Adrian - kinda surprised any of that was controversial - lots of holes to pick but rejecting that seems to be a bit petty. Wasn't at the AGM so I'll have to wait for minutes and so on - hopefully it can be an end to all this in-fighting and the ICU and the various discipline committees can ...

Re: Canoeing Ireland AGM
Any consequences to that? Does that include the accounts? If it does would it require an EGM to get them approved as otherwise they can't be filed?canoekayak wrote:

Re: GPS Locations - Google Maps River Map of Ireland
Went looking for this today as I wanted to see where a river was in relation to another one - took me a while to find though as it doesn't seem to be linked from the main page of the site - maybe useful if it was and that's possible!

Re: Aer Lingus and busses with kayaks?
We flew to Slovenia this year with Aer Lingus with our boats booked on as surfboards.
3 of us had no issues, left the boats at the overweight luggage check-in and then walked up to actual check in and told them it was there and we needed a tag for it. The 4th member of the group was made to go back ...

Clare Glens defiantly counts as a classic. After that look up Rivers in County Kerry, bit of a drive but lots of paddling to do there if there is rain. - http://www.irishwhitewater.com/river_guide/index.php?s=2&p=1

There are not a whole load of rivers around there - depends what you meen by driving distance of course.
Ennistymon Falls are close by and good craic, short seris of drops.
Caher river is not too far either - not run it myself but video looks good - think there may be some issues with wire ...

Re: ICU AGM 2011 - 50th ADM Motions & Nominations
I think what you are looking for realy is some form of clubs & schools support officer? Although I definitely see the requirement for one I'm not sure if a board position is warranted. It seems more something to be allocated to a member of staff (maybe even a full-time member of staff if the funding ...

That an Audit Committee consisting of three persons, under the Chairmanship of the
Honorary Treasurer, be established with the other two members coming from the
general membership based on nominations accepted at this ADM
I am not disagreeing with this but don ...
