Nomad ceist

The spec on the dagger website gives the boat weight of both the nomad 8.1 and the 8.5 as 44 lbs/20 kg. I very much doubt they are the same weight in reality. Anybody feel like enlightening me by throwing their nomad on a scales?

Doesn't seem like it's too solidly lodged so if it's still there after the levels have dropped it shoul...

Re: Good online kayaking Vids

A full 90 minute, documentary-type, independant film available to view online. I must have watched this at least 4 times over by now. Not whitewater but very entertaining.

"Two friends build kayaks and paddle alone for 97 days through wilderness from Alaska to Seattle."

I was meaning to post that Wildwater trailer, some excellent camera shots in it.

Here's some cool headcam footage of Yule Creek:

Re: Good online kayaking Vids

Been looking at oldskool footage lately and came across these videos of some early descents. Not vimeo hd quality but impressive nonetheless: Grand Canyon of the Stikine 1981 Grand Canyon of the Stikine 1998 A very scary video of an apparent first descent of the Susitna River in Alaska in the 70s (t...

Re: Free L3 Skills Assessment and RSR1 Course - Bandon

I'm surprised there wasn't a big demand for this. It's encouraging to see these courses being run outside of dublin, spreads the love. In the locals defense, I believe ucc had their fresher weekend organised for the same weekend. Otherwise i'm sure they would've hopped on that gravy train
